Social Responsibility
With the Hoftalon in Schools project we provide eye care services and, when necessary, donate eyeglasses to children in the public school system.
Approximately 5,263 children aged between 0 and 10 years were assisted, and 1,404 glasses were donated since 2006.
The Glaucoma Project was initiated in 2005 and has provided care to over 5,500 people.
Awareness Initiatives and Partnerships
At Hoftalon Eye Hospital, we aim to enhance our impact through awareness initiatives and partnerships with businesses. We support events and programs that educate and engage the community on eye health and overall well-being. These efforts reflect our dedication to promoting healthier vision for all.
ColorADD is a unique, universal, inclusive and non-discriminative language that enables the color blind to identify colors, with a wide spectrum of use on companies/entities whenever color is a factor of identification, orientation or choice
The “De Olho nos Olhinhos” campaign, held in partnership with the Hospital do Câncer de Londrina at Catuaí Shopping, raised awareness among parents and healthcare professionals about the symptoms of retinoblastoma.
The SouGeros Festival, an event on longevity, covers a wide range of topics, including health, psychosocial issues, coexistence, law, housing, mobility, tourism, and inspiring examples of vitality after the age of 50.
Expo Japão is the largest event in the state of Paraná dedicated to promoting and celebrating the traditions, customs, and practices of Japanese culture.
We raised awareness about glaucoma.
Education and Knowledge Generation
Hoftalon is committed to knowledge generation, investing in the continuous training of healthcare professionals and excellence in education.
Medical Residency Program has 18 residents under MEC accreditation and 9 specialized students accredited by the CBO.
Fellowship Program has 10 fellows: 3 in retina, 3 in cornea, 1 in glaucoma, 2 in oculoplastics, and 1 in cataract.
Plans for 2025
We plan to increase by 2 units for the SUS, focusing on increasing cataract surgeries, which will result in a reduction of the waiting list.
